Braehead Curling Activities

Braehead's eight sheet curling rink is home to over 50 clubs and has over 1200 members of all ages and abilities.
Members and spectators alike have access to a bar and restaurant with views of the curling rink and River Clyde.

Curling Coaching - Braehead can offer curling to everyone.
Junior Club

Saturday mornings from 8th October onwards;- 9.45am until 12.15pm.
Juniors aged from 9 to 21. All sessions are £3.50pm.

Regular games of curling throughout the season.
Complete beginners are always welcome and no charge for 1st session. No equipment required and all you need is a clean pair of trainers and wear a warm jumper.

Wheelchair Curling

Braehead Wheelchair Curling Club play on Sundays from 2.20pm - 4.30pm. Braehead has a well established club which caters for beginners through to elite levels. The club is proud to have international representatives, and has hosted many wheelchair curling events including the World Wheelchair Championships in 2005.

Individuals/groups

Braehead can arrange coaching for individuals, teams, clubs and groups for all levels of curlers.
Adults beginners classes are regularly held and 'come and try' curling events are held twice a season to offer you the chance to try it out.

Thursdays 4.30pm – 5.30pm
Do you wish to improve or have a problem with your delivery?
Whatever the reason, why not come along and one of our Braehead qualified coaches will be able to help you.
The charge is only £8.00 for One hour and sessions will be run on the following Thursdays;-
October 6th : 13th : 20th and 27th
November 3rd : 10th : 17th and 24th.
December 1st and 8th.
January 5th : 12th and 26th.
February 2nd : 9th : 16th and 23rd.

Saturday Sweep

Curling is a traditional Scottish sport. Braehead run a Saturday morning session on most weeks during the curling season and is open to all standards and runs between 10am and 12noon and costs £5 per person. Complete beginners are always welcome and No equipment required.
All you require is to bring a clean pair of trainers and wear a warm jumper.
