Braehaed Curling Sign

BRAEHEAD OPEN 2011 – sponsored by Cardwell Garden Centre



It is with great pleasure that we invite you to enter a team for the Braehead Open 2011, now very generously sponsored by Cardwell Garden Centre This competition is now in its 7th year, and continues to attract a very high standard of curling. Last year we had a full 32 entries with 4 foreign teams.
The event is on the weekend of Friday 30th September – Sunday 2nd October 2011.

Games start at 6pm on Friday evening and the final is at 2.30pm on Sunday.

It offers all teams at least 3 games and most teams play 4 to 6 games.
This is open to all teams, with prize money of at least £2000, and prizes are available for a range of participants including under 25s, best overseas, seniors, ladies, Braehead members, as well as the main prize of £650 for the Braehead Open Champions.

Entry Fee is £180.

There are local hotels within 5 minutes of Braehead. Glasgow International airport is just 10 minutes away, and Prestwick Airport is 30 minutes. Further information regarding accommodation and travel is available from David Horne at david-horne@capshop.co.uk.

Saturday Sweep

For anyone and runs between 10-12noon just wear clean trainers and a warm jumper. It costs £5 and equipment is provided.

Braehead also provides coaching that is aimed particularly at beginners and those wanting to try the game.
