To date 19 teams have entered and the organisers have extended the entry date to 30th September to allow some teams whose schedule is not yet finalised to compete in the Braehead event. This should allow for a full complement of 24 of the best ladies teams in world curling to take part in this Champions Curling Tour event.
The top Swiss teams (six so far) including reigning World Champion and 2013 Glynhill champion Binia Feltscher, and perennial visitors Silvana Tirinzoni, Michelle Jaeggi and Fabienne Furbringer are competing.
A strong Russian presence of three teams, led by Anna Sidorova will be looking to capture the title for the first time.
Cissi Ostlund returns together with Swedish compatriots Teams Lundman and Anna Hasselburg.
Elsewhere, Scandinavia will be represented By the Danes of Madeleine Dupont and the Norwegian rink of Kristin Skaslien.
Daniela Drendl returns along with fellow German Team Imogen Lehmann.
Transatlantic interest will be added by Team USA Red, led by Nina Roth, current USA national champions, and home support will be able to cheer on the teams of Jennifer Martin and Lauren Gray.
Prize money for the January event has been increased to a record £9,000 with valuable CCT points on offer towards the 2014/15 CCT Championship.
Entry to the curling rink will again be free of charge for spectators . The event runs from 16th to 18th January 2015 at the Braehead Curling Rink.
