The Braehead Curling Development Group held a Tactics Seminar on Sunday 4th October 2015. The Seminar was attended by nearly 20 Braehead Curling Club Members.
Bruce Mouat and Gregor Cannon were in attendance to give the Members their view on many tactical scenario's. Bruce and Gregor are members of the British Curling Men's Squad.
The Session commenced with the attendees watching the famous 10th end of the Men's World Curling Final 2009 between Scotland's David Murdoch and Canada's Kevin Martin. This fascinating end of curling generated much discussion and aghast at the tactics being implemented by Team Canada. Much to the attendees relief Team Scotland went on to win the World title.
The session concluded with the attendees being tasked with giving their view on 14 separate curling scenario's, this generated much discussion and debate!
An excellent afternoon was had by those who were in attendance. Many thanks to Bruce and Gregor for their valuable advise which it is hoped our members will put into full effect the next time they take to the ice at Braehead.
