Details to follow once the Assessments are processed by the RCCC. The RCCC Skill Awards Programme is designed to improve young curlers’ skills through a series of awards which become gradually more challenging. The programme is open to all RCCC affiliated members and is encouraged as part of after school and junior club sessions. Progress through the awards is determined by individual ability and RCCC qualified coaches encourage individuals to advance to their next award level by reaching the standard requirements. Participation in the Skill Awards allows monitoring and measurement of skill proficiency that is recognised by RCCC. Approved RCCC assessors may assess candidates for RCCC Skill Awards. There are two sections to each Skill Award; a practical on-ice assessment and a written assessment. Passes must be achieved in both sections to achieve the Skill Award. On successful completion of each Skill Award, an attractive signed certificate and badge of the appropriate colour is sent to the candidate. The Braehead Rockers now have a dedicated email address.
